Niets brengt mij een groter genoegen dan met een anti-Apple naar een Apple-winkel gaan. De Apple-winkel is eigenlijk een heel grote iPod waarin je kunt rondlopen; het is er smetteloos wit en er draait fijne muziek. Bovendien lopen er Apple-nerds rond: de verkopers. De Apple-nerd is een bijzonder menstype; hij is een nerd, maar hij is ook cool. Zo’n Apple-nerd is bijvoorbeeld klein, dun en pastakleurig, maar tegelijkertijd zelfverzekerd en in staat om op een leuke manier over computers te praten.

Al de hele dag krijg ik vergelijkingen met noisegrootheden als Sonic Youth, Swans en Slint naar mijn hoofd geslingerd. Maar alles wat ik er aanvankelijk van kan maken is een matige band die met een LSD-slikkende frontman zit opgescheept.
